At Arimatea, every creation is carefully prepared and inspected before delivery. If, after receiving your order, you need to request an exchange, exercise your right of withdrawal, or submit a claim regarding the quality of a piece, the applicable terms and conditions are set out below.
This policy shall be interpreted in accordance with Law 1480 of 2011 — the Colombian Consumer Protection Statute — Law 2439 of 2024, and any other applicable Colombian regulations that amend, supplement, or regulate them.
For purchases made through our online store, consumers may exercise their right of withdrawal whenever legally applicable.
The maximum period to exercise this right is five (5) business days from the date the product is delivered.
To submit a withdrawal request, you must contact Arimatea within this period at [email protected], providing your name, order number, and stating that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.
The creation must be returned through the appropriate means and in the same condition in which it was received. Shipping costs and any other expenses associated with returning the product shall be borne by the consumer, in accordance with Colombian law.
Once the right of withdrawal has been validly exercised, the required information has been provided, and the product has been returned under the conditions required by law, the refund will be processed within the maximum period established by applicable legislation, currently fifteen (15) calendar days.
The refund will be made through the corresponding payment method or through another method agreed upon with the consumer, in accordance with the options permitted by law.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal shall be limited exclusively to those established under applicable Colombian law.
In addition to the rights granted under Colombian law, Arimatea allows customers to request an exchange, provided that the creation is unused, in the same condition in which it was delivered, and accompanied by its original presentation elements, and that the request has been previously authorized by Arimatea.
Whenever possible, the creation will first be exchanged for the same reference originally purchased.
If the same reference is unavailable, the customer may select another creation of equal value. If the customer chooses a creation of greater value, the corresponding price difference must be paid.
This voluntary exchange policy does not replace, restrict, or modify any rights available to consumers regarding withdrawal or the statutory warranty.
Shipping costs arising from a voluntary exchange requested by the customer shall be borne by the customer, unless the reason for the exchange is attributable to Arimatea or falls within the scope of the statutory warranty.
All Arimatea creations are covered by the statutory warranty under the terms established by Colombian law.
If a piece presents a defect related to its quality, fitness for purpose, or condition, the customer may submit a claim for evaluation. The warranty will be handled according to the nature of the creation, the defect identified, and the remedies established under Law 1480 of 2011.
As a general rule, where legally applicable, repairs covered by the statutory warranty will be provided free of charge. Where the creation cannot be repaired, or where any other circumstances provided for by law apply, the legally established remedies may include replacement of the product or a refund.
Transportation costs that must legally be covered in order to honor the statutory warranty shall be borne in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use of the piece or failure to follow the applicable care instructions, provided that such circumstances constitute a legally recognized ground for exemption from liability.
The inherent characteristics of natural materials — including variations in color, shape, texture, or inclusions found in emeralds, baroque pearls, mother-of-pearl, and other elements of natural origin — shall not, by themselves, constitute a quality defect when they are inherent to the nature of the material and have been duly disclosed in the description of the creation.

In the event of any inconsistency between this policy and a mandatory consumer protection provision, applicable Colombian law shall prevail.
