Conceived around the poporo, one of the emblematic forms of pre-Hispanic Colombian goldwork, the Poporo Necklace reinterprets, through Arimatea’s contemporary language, an object deeply connected to Colombia’s goldworking tradition and the material memory of its territory.
Its sculptural volume retains the contained presence of the ancestral vessel, while the natural Muzo emerald introduces a fragment of the territory into the composition. Suspended from a delicate chain, the piece establishes a dialogue between form, memory, and permanence.
